Review- Yumchaa

Yumchaa (slogan ‘free your tea’) is perhaps the most interesting non-alcoholic drinking spot I’ve ever been to. They have somehow created some crazy tea flavorous some of which are  ‘Chilli Chilli Bang Bang’, ‘Enchanted Forrest’ and ‘Marzipan Superfan’.

There is a selection of pastries, cakes and packets of tea that you can buy and brew at home, and small jars of tea on the countertop which you can smell to decide whether or not you like them.

Venetia ordered a pot of Spiced Apple and Pear Pie Tea (which comes as a teapot that comes apart to form a cup as well) and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I ordered a Raspberry Vanilla Latte which I believe is made by infusing the tea with hot milk. It was a little strange and I think I prefer traditional tea but I definitely think it makes a nice change.

The café is quite small but its a really nice venue, the blends of tea smell amazing and it feels like a warm sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Brick Lane and is definitely worth a visit for anyone who likes their tea.
