Lush Coffee Scrub Dupe

I see a lot of “make this with stuff you have at home” beauty dupes and invariably I don’t have any of the stuff actually at home, this recipe is actually the easiest thing in the world to make and I guarantee you have most of it at home already.

Lush lists the ingredients of its Cup O’Coffee Face and Body Mask as:

Kaolin, Glycerine, Coffee Infusion, Talc, Ground Coffee, Bentone gel, Perfume, Vetivert Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Roasted Cocoa Extract, Coriander Oil, Caffeine Powder, Coumarin, Limonene and Linalool

I don’t have most of these things but its worth a try right? After a few tries I think I’ve perfected the recipe

What you’ll need:

  • 4/5 TBSP Ground coffee beans
  • 1 TBSP Honey
  • 2 heaped TBSP coconut oil
  • 1 TBSP cocoa (unsweetened)
  • Vanilla extract

Method:

Literally the easiest thing ever- slightly warm up the coconut oil (20 seconds in the microwave on low) then dump the lot into a container like so-

and mix it all together with a fork until it has this consistency, be aware as the coconut oil cools down it will become more solid –

When you go to use it just put some in a little bowl and mix in a teaspoon of natural greek yoghurt and you’re  ready for silky soft skin!

If you don’t have coconut oil it can be replaced by most cooking oils I would think, I tried it with olive oil but the olive-coffee-vanilla smell wasn’t great 😬
